Coach Pamela Decheva

 

Coach Pam played high school basketball overseas in Bulgaria. For 5 consecutive years, starting in 2007, she also played for the Bulgarian national team and participated in the European championships. Her college career started at the University of South Carolina for the 2011-2012 season. After her freshman season, she transferred to Winthrop University to finish out her college career. She participated in 2 March Madness tournaments, in 2012 with the Gamecocks, where she made it to the Sweet 16, and in 2014 with Winthrop University, where the team lost in the first round to Duke. Her team was the first women's basketball team in Winthrop University history that made it to the March Madness tournament. 

 

As a coach, she has led multiple player development basketball camps, during her college career and continuing after graduation. She has head coached at multiple levels of club play for 6+ years. She will have a great impact on our program!
