Season Details

​We will be hand-selecting players from the neighboring Chicago-land areas for all of our spring/summer teams. These teams will practice two times a week for 1.5 hours or three times a week for 1 hour at the Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center, Civic Center, or Roselle Park District.

Practices will be consisting of team concepts and fundamental skills-training. Detailed techniques will be taught and executed in preparation for tournaments. There will be a total of 32 practices and 7-8 tournaments that BIG 3 Basketball youth travel teams will compete in over the spring and summer of 2024.

Season will run in April, May, and June for 13U and below. 14U and above will run in April, May, July. All high school teams will take the month of June off for the players to focus on their school team commitments (camps, summer leagues, etc).

If your child is selected to play on one of our teams, a down payment will be required immediately to hold their spot. We will then collect the remaining fee prior to seasons start. There are two types of teams that will be offered to eligible players, a breakdown of the commitment level is below.

REGIONAL ELITE TEAMS

All the regional elite teams' tournaments will be played locally in the greater Chicagoland area. ​There may be a rare case where we play over the border in Wisconsin (Pleasant Prairie) or Indiana (Hammond) based upon division availability and strength of team. The goal is to play the best competition in the region.

NATIONAL ELITE TEAMS

National elite teams will be required to travel out of state 1-2 times were month. They will play in three live period events, where college scouts and coaches will be in attendance. These teams will play on the PUMA circuit or the Prep Hoops Circuit to compete against some of the best talent in the country.
